7 Months
I still can not believe I have a 7 month old boy! Nolan's favorites lately include dinner time with mom and dad. He loves to be included at the table. We have yet to find a food that Nolan does not like, but so far his favorites have been carrots and bananas. No teeth as of yet to chomp, but we do not think he is too far away from having some pop through. Although he is not crawling yet, he does army crawl across the room. He prefers to sit up to play and LOVES to stand on his feet. He still loves computers, phones, or anything that is in our hands! :) His favorite toys have been his blocks, bath tub toys, his toothbrush, but water bottles and ziplocks win! Here is his 7 month photo followed by months 6 and 5. BLESSED by this boy!

Weekend Things
Well, not exactly the weekend anymore but worthy of posting a blog! Jeff and I have been absolutely loving our family time on the weekends. This past weekend was especially enjoyable with the beautiful August weather we have been having here in Oklahoma. We could actually spend time outside without being in the pool or dripping with sweat. Nolan and I accompanied Jeff out to the golf course on Saturday after grabbing a little lunch. Now that Nolan is interested in food and drink, he wants everything going in our mouths. He kept reaching for the lemon in the water so we decided to let him have a taste and ohhh the faces we got!

Despite the sour faces he still wanted more! He was our
entertainment at lunch, but we are loving the
interactions we now get around meal times!
Off to the golf course for a relaxed 9 holes! It is fun to watch Nolan experience the world around him. It has been a rewarding challenge for me to slow down and try to take in what Nolan is seeing, hearing, feeling and smelling. This little guy gets so excited to go outside and gets a kick out of watching the wind blow things and he reaches out to feel the trees and grass.
Some of our most treasured times are the nights at home with our family of three. Nothing more special than cooking good food, playing with our boy, and enjoying our home and dogs. We are very blessed.

6 month pictures!
We are so blessed to do life with such a great group of friends! Jeff and I are constantly reminded how fortunate we are by all the support, love, and laughs we share with our friends. One of my dear friends Romi happens to be talented with her camera. She recently took some 6 month pictures of little Nolan! Romi also has a 6 month old baby girl, Isla. Nolan and Isla are just 1 week apart and it is so fun to see them interact. We can't wait to continue to watch them as they grow together. Here is a recent pic of the two of them!
Here are some of my favorites from the photo shoot Romi did with little Nolan!

Colorado Trip!
We recently got back from our first family vacation. Although it was not 100% relaxing traveling and being away from our home environment with a 6 month old, we made lots of memories and had a great time. Uncle Bob rents a room in a condo up in Silverthorne, and he was nice enough to let the three of us use it for a get away. We stopped through Denver on our way up there. Uncle Bob and Nolan hung out one night so Jeff and I could have a little date night! We ate a Rioja and it was fabulous!! We had a great evening!
The entire hike took us 4.5 hours. Nolan got a little sleepy on the ride up and had to get a nap in!
The weather up in the mountains was phenomenal. The highs were in the 60s and it got down into the 40s at night. Great escape from the Oklahoma heat. Our first night we ate a little pizza place called Joeys. It was delicious!
As expected, there were frequent rain showers in the afternoons, but we had a great time taking advantage of the beautiful scenery. Nolan loves to be outside and had a great time exploring with us.
We rented a backpack from REI to take Nolan on a hike with us. I think we were both a little over ambitious in our hike planning. We ended up hiking 9.75 miles one afternoon. Jeff hauled Nolan the entire way and needless to say, Nolan is not the lightest load especially up a mountain. I think Pippa had the most fun out of any of us. Lots of memories were made and Nolan was a trooper on the way down- he was ready to get out of that pack!!The entire hike took us 4.5 hours. Nolan got a little sleepy on the ride up and had to get a nap in!
We went into Breckenridge one day to hang out and see the town. It was a fun little place and we enjoyed our day there!
We are very thankful for a happy, healthy baby boy! We had a great trip with him. Although none of us are ready to hop in the car tomorrow for a road trip, we looking forward to taking many more family vacations in the years to come! It was a great trip!!
